BENEFITS & INSTRUCTIONS for 52 two eared wire wheeled cars
BENEFITS & INSTRUCTIONS for two eared Wire wheel cars.
Tired of damaging spinners, wheel spokes, and hitting the car's body?
This kit fits Jaguars & Aston Martin two eared, 52-size spinners and many other cars that may use that same type spinners.
Short History: For some time now, I’ve not been able to make my original two eared tools. My machinist lost his home and shop and all of our equipment during the 2017 CA. fires. Everything was destroyed and it would have been too costly to rebuild and continue making any more of my tools. I tried several other versions, but fell short, until now.
My Final version: After having many starts and re-starts to replace my original two eared tools, the final tool is now in production. There will be no need to beat your spinners to death with a hammer anymore. I used a solid block of aluminum using CNC technology to create a one-piece tool with no moving parts. The tool’s design has a leather lined bridge. You simply hang the tool on the spinner’s ear that faces upward, push the tool flat on the other ear and turn. Attach my, included, socket to the hex shaft of the tool, then use your breaker bar or a torque wrench and apply force to tighten or loosen the spinner. Yes, it’s that easy and simple!
This tool is made using CNC technology. The tool has both
spinner's ear angles, milled into the tool's sidewalls of the tool. Connecting the left and right UNDO spinners of the car. The tool also has a bridge to hang the tool on the spinner's ear that faces upward. Push the other ear into the tool, attach the kit's socket to use a breaker bar or a torque wrench and just turn to remove or tighten. The bridge frees both hands and keeps the tool from falling off while changing a tire. It eliminates the need to use a hammer again.
The kit containsonly one Aluminum highly polished tool, that is wrapped in leather to protect any metal-to-metal contact, has a colored plastic insert to protect the face of the spinner, a high impact 1 1⁄4” socket, a wheel chock to block the wheel from spinning on the floor, and a knockoff embossed storage bag to keep the tool kit with the car.
colored plastic insert choice when ordering a tool Kit.
Torque Settings:in a Lotus owner's manual, has the only settings I've been able to find and that was 200 to 220 ft/lbs. of torque. All other sources only recommend using a hammer. Its hard to know the torque with a hammer.
A local shop owner, who has always used a hammer to UNDO his spinners with 3 good whacks. We tested his 3 good whacks method using our tool with a breaker bar, he hit within 3 to 4 lbs. of 210 of torque each time. He did say by using my tool and a breaker bar, the added leverage caused the wheel to spin on the floor and would need to block the wheels.
The standard removal method, is to loosen the spinner with a hammer while the car is still on the ground, jack the car up, remove the spinner and the wheel, replace the wheel and finger tight the spinner, let the jack back down and tighten the spinner with a hammer. Roll the car a short distance and re-tighten with a hammer for a well seated spinner to the wheel. Some say the wheel will self-tighten when driving. That is true if you don't brake too heavy before the spinner has fully tightened.
Changing a tire made Easier: Use my wheel chockby jacking the car up just enough so the tire just turns, place the wheel chock on one side of the tire to UNDO and move the chock to the other side of the tire to tighten. Let the jack back down for a perfectly seated spinner to the wheel. It that simple!
When using abreaker bar, always be pushing down rather than pulling or lifting the breaker bar for a better feel of the torque you are applying.
UNDO Directions:
First use the markings on the spinner and the engraved directions on the tool.
UNDO right side, turn clockwise towards the front of the car.
UNDO left side, turn counterclockwise to the front of the car.
To tighten, turn both sides to the rear of the car.

Warning on wheel spines. No matter how tight your spinners are, worn splines may need to be replaced.
Sizing your spinner? Asked what size tool to order? For a 42-size spinner, measure the diameter of the base, not the eares, will be about 3 1/2". For the larger 52 size Jaguars was about 4".
The Kit storage bags, all kit come with a black embossed to keep the tool kit with the car. An option, for an Aluminum carrying case with stiff locking foam can be added to Buy Now on the check-out page. Cobra tools will not fit into the case because of its size.
My tools will never need to use a hammer again.
Spinners don’t have to look like this!
Keep your spinners looking new.
Many cars that use 52-size two eared spinners.
