BENEFITS & INSTRUCTIONS for BORRANI two eared Tool Kits
There is a better way to protect your investment without using a hammer. You will know what torque is required by using a torque wrench.
This 42 size Borrani two eared spinner removal tool kit will fit the classic Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini and other cars the use this two-ear type of spinners.
This Kit contains, an Aluminum polished tool that is leather wrapped to protect all metal to metal contact, a plastic insert to protect the face of the spinner, a 1 1⁄4 inch high impact socket with a 1⁄2 inch drive, the tool has been engraved with an UNDO directional arrows for both the left and right sides of the car, a wheel chock to block the wheels from spinning on the floor during tire changes, and a embossed knockoff labeled storage bag. The kit comes with all you need except you will still need a breaker bar or a torque wrench.
The tools are made using CNC technology, The tool has a straight ear angle milled into the the tool's side walls and grips the spinner's ears. The tool also has a bridge to hang the tool on one of the spinner's ears that are facing upward. Push the other ear into the tool, attach the socket and turn to UNDO or tighten. The bridge keeps the tool from falling off when changing a tire.

Torque Settings:In a Lotus Elan printed manual, it states a setting of 200 to 220 lb/lbs of torque. All other sources only recommendation, is to use a lead hammer.
A local shop owner: Who, has always use a lead hammer says three good whacks does it. We tested his 3 good whacks method using our tool and he hit within 3 to 4 lbs of 210 every time.
He did say by using a breaker bar, rather than a hammer, the added leverage spun the wheel even with weight of the car on it said it, we would need to block the tire.
The standard excepted wheel removal method, is to loosen the spinner with a hammer while the car is still on the ground, jack the car up, remove the spinner then the wheel, replace the wheel and finger tight the spinner and let the jack back down and tighten with a hammer. Some have said to roll the car a short distance and retighten with the hammer for a well seated spinner to the wheel.
Changing a tire made easy. For a much easier method, use my wheel chock by simply jacking the car up just enough so the tire will turn. Place the wheel chock on one side of the tire to INDO, then move the chock to the other side of the tire to tighten. Then let the jack back down for a fully seated spinner to the wheel.
It is that simple!
When using a breaker bar, always be pushing down rather than pulling or lifting the breaker bar. You would get the feel of what force you applied.
UNDO arrow Direction,
First follow the direction on the spinner.
UNDO right, turn clockwise to the front of the car.
UNDO left, turn counterclockwise to the front of the car.
TO TIGHTEN, turn both sides of the car to the rear.
Sizing your spinners
Question I get on what size do I order? The 42 size measures about 3 1⁄2 "across the diameter, not the ears. A 52mm is about 4"
Storage bags and an optional Aluminum carrying case for tool kits.
All Kits come with a black embossed knockoff storage bag. As an option, an Aluminum carrying case, is a vailable with all knockoff tool kits, except the Cobra GT40 tools as they will not fit into the case. The case can be placed in ADD TO CART with any of the tool kits ordered.
Warning on Hub spline wear,
A lot of wire wheels have been around 50 years or more. Components do age and become worn. Check for wear every so often.
Spinners look like they have seen a hammer.
Keep your spinners new looking.
By using my leather wrapped tool kit, your spinners will never have to use a hammer.
Protect your investment and know the torque that keeps them on safely.
